As every year, a strong focus is on young Slovenian film authors and their current works that prove striking storytelling, artistic sensibility and highest technical abilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On this note the festival will open with Berlin\u2019s premier of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/272985512\"><b><i>My Last Year as a Loser (Ne bom ve\u010d luzerka)<\/i><\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by film director <\/span><b>Ur\u0161a Menart <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that won the prominent Vesna Award for the best movie and another two for the best script and supporting actor at the latest Slovenian Film Festival. The film takes us on the emotional journey of \u201can over-educated generation that by no means succeeds to grow up to the expectations of their parents nor that Slovenia is able to host it\u201d as described by the director.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While Ljubljana plays an important setting in the lead actor\u2019s story, it has also encouraged photographers <\/span><b>Matja\u017e Ru\u0161t<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>Robert Marin <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to capture its urban life on the Tumblr hit blog <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/najlepsemestonasvetu.tumblr.com\"><b><i>The most beautiful city in the world<\/i><\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">throughout the years. Supporting the festival\u2019s opening the artists are now presenting their newest selection of brutally authentic images in a first-time-Berlin exhibition that will be displayed until the 10th of January.\u00a0 Concluding the evening with some live music of <\/span><b>Nik Novak<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, first day of the festival is already making us take that ride to the Kino Sputnik despite dark and rain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Saturday the high-quality times continue with the <\/span><b><i>Acht Shorts<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the selection of\u00a0 short films of <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fekk.si\"><b><i>Ljubljana short film festival (FeKK)<\/i><\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">following very much anticipated Q&amp;As. The evening will be concluded with another heavy award winning film of the year <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/6W8v3feKptE\"><b><i>Consequences (Posledice)<\/i><\/b> <\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by <\/span><b>Darko \u0160tante.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the last day poetry will join the film with live reading of<\/span><b> Lidija Dimkovska <\/b><b><i>(Schwarz auf Wei\u00df)<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span><b> Jure Jakob<\/b> <b><i>(Werkst\u00fcckhen)<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, followed by the music film <\/span><b><i>Remains &#8211; Confessions to the ghost<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by <\/span><b>Matev\u017e Jerman <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in<\/span><b> Nik Novak<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
