Metamorphosis is a photography project infuenced by the children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Using our own narrative and visual information, the aim is to illustrate a story we all grew up with in a new and contemporary way.

“In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.”

“One sunday morning, the warm sun came up and – pop! – out of the egg came a very tiny and very hungry caterpillar!”

“The very hungry caterpillar ate through one whole green leaf, and already she started to feel better!”

“ She built herself a small house, called a cocoon, and stayed in it for two weeks”

“As the weeks went by, the very hungry caterpillar started to change!”

“Then, when she was ready, she nibbled a small hole in the cocoon and pushed her way out, revealing herself…”
