deconstructedrealiti
deconstructedrealiti is an editorial submission, created by Jurij Fidel and Neža Knez.
Jurij Fidel is a 22-year-old fashion design student at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering (NTF) in Ljubljana, currently on his gap year. He plans on continuing his studies with a Master’s degree either abroad or at his alma mater, NTF.
Neža Knez is a 23-year-old visual artist, who got her Bachelor’s degree at NTF in Graphic and interactive communications. After she’d finished her degree, she enrolled in ALUO, to study Video and New Media, currently in her second year of the program.
“In college, I designed a hybrid of a trench coat and a knitted sweater. Neža and I later photographed the project and it was Neža who helped with my vision by placing the model into an imaginary setting, created in the 3D program called Blender. The idea was to create an artificial natural world out of imaginary plants and flowers. Neža then used a ‘face-filter’ instead of make-up to complete the overall image.”
